The Purbrook Ladies 5 mile road race is a single lap course on quiet country lanes, starting and finishing at Purbrook Heath, approximately 3 miles north of Portsmouth.
It’s a very friendly race and although it attracts some very good competitors – it is also an ideal course for beginners seeking race experience. Ages range from 18 – 70+.
There is ample showering and changing facilities and refreshments will be available after the race.
Prizes will be awarded in all categories with a fantastic medal to all finishers. There will be ‘spot prizes’.

Collect number on the day, we are not sending out any pre-race packs.
Parking is available at:
- Car park off Purbrook Heath Road; PO7 5RU – best approached from the A3, if you are going north from Cosham, it is on the left just before the roundabout.
- Ladybridge Road – turn right at the roundabout, and then first left for the car park. The start is a few minutes walk, back across the A3, and then left/quick right into Purbrook Heath Road.
- The start/finish is at the tennis courts, next to Rowans Hospice for those who don’t know the area.
