It is not a competition but it’s purpose is to help you maintain your motivation by sharing your target with others in the club. If you get injured then the target can be changed or weeks marked where injured.
Progress is monitored via the 1000 mile challenge spreadsheet. Despite its name your target doesn’t have to be a 1000 mile it could be 500 or 2000 as it’s your target.
