Sunday Off-Road Runs

Welcome to the Sunday running group. We go for an off-road run every Sunday morning from various rural locations just outside of Portsmouth. Where possible we keep off the roads following tracks and footpaths and usually a few hills. We normally run a circular route of between 9 and 10 miles with extra loops available for the faster ones in the group to extend the run to 12 to 14 miles.

The runs normally start at 9am (although see the posts on our Facebook page for details)  and last about 2 hours (assuming we don’t get lost). Normally we end up at a cafe for tea and cake.

During the summer months an old pair of road running shoes will be fine, but during the winter months when there is more mud and water around you’ll be better off with trail shoes. In the summer months we recommend that you bring a water bottle.
